Quick Follow-up on Placement

Unlike the Itamar massacre, I was pleased to note that only 15 minutes after the bus bombing, which took place in Jerusalem this morning, Drudgereport.com and NYTimes.com posted articles on their websites in noticeable spots. Drudgereport.com even offered feature articles to go along with the news of the bus bombing including an article about recent attacks on Har HaZaysim and about rockets being fired from Gaza into Israel.

  1. Drudge always likes to put "hot" events like a terrorist attack at the top. The Times and others are the real question...

  2. Interesting. I had a hard time finding the Times article on the bombing, and I thought that it almost seemed like they were trying very hard to be inconspicuous...

  3. I think they moved it later on for other stories.

  4. Just for clarification, the bus bombing coverage was never THE top story, that role was played by Elizabeth Taylor's death, but it was a front page headline and that was what I was commenting on.
